Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Ennis, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-call and weekend shifts may be required
• Position is based in an OR setting within a community hospital
• Laparoscopic surgical procedures are performed, including use of Stryker video towers
• May require floating between two facilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience required
• Proficiency with Stryker video towers for laparoscopic procedures required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, and referrals
• Educates patients and families based on age, culture, condition, and individual circumstances
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• RQI and RCIS certifications are not accepted for BLS or ACLS
