Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for an acute care hospital Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring at least 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures with proficiency in the Xper recording platform.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 150-bed Level III Adult acute care hospital
• Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, tilt table studies, angioplasty and stent placement, dialysis graft interventions (fistulograms/declots), endovascular interventions, and upper and lower extremity angiography
• Uses Xper recording platform (experience required) and PACS
• Charting via Sunrise (no prior experience required)
• Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Every other weekend required, or approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week block
• Rotating on-call schedule, including holiday and hurricane pre/post/during coverage
• No floating to other units or sister facilities required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active Florida state or compact RN/tech license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• Proficiency with Xper recording platform required
• PACS experience required
• Experience with cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies required
• Experience with angioplasty, stent placement, dialysis graft interventions, endovascular interventions, and upper/lower extremity angiography required
• Flu vaccine required; signed medical or religious exemption accepted in lieu
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Experience with specialty equipment such as Impella, Balloon Pump, CSI, Shockwave, and Penumbra is preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restrictions apply
• Former staff, employees, or contracted travelers must wait a minimum of 1 year after leaving an internal contracted position before being eligible
• Any finalized time-off requests must be submitted upfront; RTO will not be accepted after an offer is made
• Solid-colored scrubs required with no mixing of top and bottom colors, no logos or prints; travelers must purchase their own scrubs
