Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring both L&D and mother/baby experience on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Located in a Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Unit includes 16 LDRP rooms, a C-section suite and PACU, and a 4-bed Special Care Nursery
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Closed specialty unit — nurses are not expected to float outside of the Family Center

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact license with NC as primary state required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• L&D and mother/baby nursing experience required
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• The unit is actively expanding support staff, including a preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation consultant
• The team participates in statewide and national process improvement initiatives, including programs focused on neonatal withdrawal, prenatal screening, safe sleep, mental health, and obstetrical sepsis
• Epic EMR is in use across the facility and unit-developed tools have been integrated into the platform nationally
