Description
American Traveler is hiring a DEXA Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring active ARRT and current, proficient bone density exam experience.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
- DEXA Technologist role focused exclusively on bone density exams — X-ray duties are not required
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekends, no on-call, and no block scheduling required
- No floating between units within this assignment
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of DEXA/bone density exam experience required — experience must be current and proficient
- Active ARRT with RT(R) registered through OBMI required (a separate DEXA license is not required)
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- A separate state DEXA license is required if applicable
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
