Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position at a children's hospital in Tennessee, requiring at least 2 years of PICU experience and an active TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a children's hospital
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Weekends required as needed
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state (no pending licensure accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required; 3+ years preferred
- BSN preferred
- At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as RTO will not be approved if not included at the time of initial consideration
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
