Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Unit position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring ACLS and BLS certifications and comfort with drip management and specialized procedures.

Details

• Work in the Step-Down Unit of a 99-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
• On-call required every 3rd weekend
• Float rotation to Med-Tele, Med-Surg, and Rehab units as needed
• Charting performed in Epic
• Block scheduling requests will be considered
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• 1–2 years of RN experience required
• Experience managing drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Dobutamine
• Experience with special procedures and equipment including Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, BiPAP, and Airvo
• Must be comfortable caring for isolation patients, including COVID
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• May be assigned Charge Nurse duties as needed
• Black scrubs required
