Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a weekend day shift contract at a non-profit academic-affiliated hospital in Midland, MI, requiring active ARRT certification and Cath Lab Tech experience.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a 328-bed non-profit hospital affiliated with the University of Michigan Health System and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine
- Patient preparation, sterile tray setup, post-cath care, angiographic procedures, and room turnover
- Operates hemodynamic equipment, cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment, pacemakers, and radiographic generators
- Performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images and oxygen saturation studies
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Schedule is Friday through Sunday, every weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR
Requirements
- Cath Lab Tech experience required
- Active ARRT certification required
- Active AHA BLS required
- Active AHA ACLS required
- Current Cath Lab skills checklist (within the last year) required for consideration
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Sets up radiographic equipment prior to angiographic procedures and manipulates generator techniques to achieve optimal image quality
- Assists physicians and Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology staff to ensure timely and efficient use of the lab
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested, and all scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application — requests made after an offer is extended may result in a rescinded offer
- First-time travelers will not be considered; local candidates are not eligible
