Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (M) certification for a 13-week outpatient assignment.

Details

• Outpatient mammography setting
• Procedures include 3D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, screening mammograms, and stereotactic biopsy
• Hologic 3D equipment is used
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• ARRT (M) and BLS certifications required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable — a Compact or NC license must be in hand
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Proficiency with digital quality assurance procedures, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and universal precautions
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions or declinations accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
• Orientations are held bi-weekly
• Wine-colored scrubs are required
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront and are capped at 5–7 days maximum
• Candidates who were previously permanent employees of Duke University Health System must disclose that employment history; candidates who left permanent employment there within the past 6 months are not eligible
• Charge experience and management/lead experience are preferred
• Teaching BSE (breast self-exams) to patients is a preferred skill
