Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with LTC or rehab setting experience for a senior living and rehabilitation facility in Harrisonville, MO.

Details

• Work in an occupational therapy department within a senior living community
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Shift start time is flexible between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, provided the schedule is consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
• 35 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Missouri OT license required; compact licensure accepted (Missouri license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required; new graduates with Level II fieldwork experience will be considered
• LTC or rehab setting experience required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer rehabilitative interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive/supportive devices
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical decision-making
• Monitor and document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and discharge summaries in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required in-service trainings
• Provide consultation and education to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers
• Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice standards, ethics, and code of conduct
• All licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
