Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with pediatric experience for an outpatient rehabilitation position in Alpena, MI.

Details

• Outpatient setting within a hospital-based Rehabilitation Services unit
• 10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with flexibility for 8- to 10-hour days
• 40 hours per week
• One Sunday shift required per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Michigan PT license required; must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Physical therapy experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• Acute care experience highly preferred
• Skills checklist current within the past year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluation using formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular function
• Develops and updates individualized, goal-specific treatment plans in coordination with physicians and clinical support staff
• Delegates responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides as appropriate
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment rationale
• Business casual dress code required
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO may be requested, and all scheduling requests must be made prior to offer acceptance
