Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of echo and vascular experience, including proficiency with Definity Contrast and MediTech EMR, for a 13-week travel contract in Batesville, AR.

Details

• 8-hour day shifts, either 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Approximately 1 weekend of coverage per month may be required
• One weeknight on-call per week, with required callback response and arrival to the department within 30 minutes of being called in
• Performs echo and vascular studies including TTE echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous dopplers, carotid doppler, arterial doppler, ABI, pericardiocentesis, thrombin injections, and vein mapping
• Current equipment includes 3 Philips CVX Epiq machines, 1 Philips Elite Epiq machine, and a Vasculab ABI machine
• MediTech EMR is used; experience is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• Echo and vascular experience required
• Ability to perform echocardiograms with Definity Contrast required
• Ability to start an IV independently required
• Active ARDMS certification required
• Active AHA BLS required
• MediTech EMR experience required
• 2 supervisory references taken within the last 2 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic echo and vascular exams per physician order in an efficient and timely manner
• Assists physicians with radiology procedures and supports co-workers during downtime across radiology areas as needed
• Maintains equipment according to department policies, including cleaning surfaces after each patient and at the end of each workday
• Participates in required hospital and department in-services and meetings
• Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from Batesville, AR to be considered; local candidates will not be reviewed — candidates between 90 and 150 miles may be reviewed but are less likely to be selected
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
