Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Pittsfield, MA, requiring telemetry experience and a willingness to float across Med/Surg units.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg unit setting with 20–34 beds depending on the unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holidays required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to any Med/Surg unit is required
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license, must be in hand at time of consideration — facility will not pend licensure
• Current certifications required and must be in hand: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Med/Surg skills checklist current within the past year required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Personal vehicle required for this assignment

Additional Information

• Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration — no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests made after an offer may result in a rescinded offer
• Holiday coverage is required as needed
