Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a Rehab position in Fort Dodge, IA, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency, with a primary focus in outpatient care and occasional acute inpatient coverage.

Details

• Primarily outpatient clinic-based setting, with 4 days per week in the outpatient clinic and 1 day per week in acute care
• Patient population in the acute care setting includes ortho, neuro, and safety discharge patients
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week
• Optional weekend acute care shifts available (Saturday 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM and Sunday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM) for interested travelers
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist (PT) experience required; work history must reflect 24 months of PT experience
• Outpatient PT experience required; inpatient experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active Iowa PT license required; non-Iowa-licensed candidates will be considered if willing and able to apply for the Iowa license (license required if applicable)
• Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Valid driver's license required
• At least one completed travel contract preferred

Additional Information

• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care
• New orientation begins weekly every Monday
• Candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• A supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years is preferred for consideration
• Travelers who have been employed by this facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position
