Description
American Traveler is hiring a 3D Imaging Technologist I (Radiologic Technologist) for a 13-week urgent care assignment in Boston, MA, performing X-ray exams alongside front and back office clinical duties.
Details
- Urgent care clinic setting in Boston, MA
- Serves both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Performs X-ray studies following standard protocols, capturing and documenting images in the EMR
- Also responsible for front office duties including patient registration, payment processing, and opening/closing procedures
- Back office clinical duties include rooming and triaging patients, documenting vitals and patient history, and collecting specimens for point-of-care testing
- Assists with minor surgical procedures under the direction of a licensed provider
- Shift hours are 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Epic EMR is used; prior experience preferred
- Independent transportation required for potential travel to various urgent care locations
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited college required
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required; MA license required — no pending licenses accepted (license required if applicable)
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume urgent care center or ER preferred
- Prior Epic EMR experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must be able to work with both adult and pediatric patients
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch; manual dexterity for computer use required
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring receipt and results of X-ray images, restocking supplies, and assisting with training of new employees
- Works in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with constant contact with patients and clinical staff
- Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
- No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking lots are available at candidate's expense; public transportation is encouraged
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the Boston facility are eligible to apply but may receive a reduced pay rate
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
