Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for an Urgent Care setting, requiring ARRT certification and current state radiologic technologist licensure.
Details
- Work in a fast-paced urgent care center setting
- Perform X-ray exams on adult and pediatric patients as ordered by urgent care providers
- Assist with front office duties including patient registration and payment processing
- Assist with back office clinical duties including rooming, triage, and point-of-care testing
- Shift hours are 08:30 to 21:00
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- May require travel between various Urgent Care locations
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited college required
- Current state licensure as a radiologic technologist required (license required if applicable)
- ARRT certification required
- BLS/CPR certification required (AHA only)
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume urgent care center or emergency room preferred
- Prior EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Must have reliable, independent transportation for travel to various locations
- Must be able to walk, stand, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
- Must be able to speak and write English fluently
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include preparing radiology suites and equipment, capturing and documenting X-ray images, cleaning and staging exam rooms, and restocking supplies
- Additional duties include obtaining and processing patient specimens for point-of-care tests such as rapid strep, flu, mono, pregnancy, urinalysis, and glucose testing
- Assists with minor surgical procedures under direction of a licensed provider
- May assist with training activities for new employees
- Requires outstanding bedside manner with both pediatric and adult patient populations
- Fast-paced environment with constant contact with the public and clinical/office support staff
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate
