Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist licensed in Oregon for a 13-week travel assignment providing in-home patient care on a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.

Details

  • Home health setting with patient care delivered directly in patients' homes
  • Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
  • Works under the supervision of the Home Health and Hospice Manager
  • Serves a diverse patient population including those with physical disabilities, rehabilitation needs, mental health conditions, and elderly or long-term care needs

Requirements

  • Active Oregon OT license required (license required if applicable)
  • Graduate of an AOTA/CAHEA-accredited occupational therapy program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for patient home visits
  • Proof of current auto insurance required

Additional Information

  • Evaluate patients' functional status and implement physician-directed plans of care
  • Perform assessments and reassessments using objective tests and measurements
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team through individual communication and team meetings to coordinate patient care
  • Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers as appropriate
  • Complete accurate and concise documentation of all communications, coordination, and treatment activity
  • Registration with the AOTA is preferred
  • Continuing education relevant to skill level and area of practice is preferred
  • CRASE training will be required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position, as the role requires independent in-home care delivery
