Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN Manager to lead Surgical Services at a hospital setting in Oregon, requiring a BSN, CNOR, and a minimum of 5 years of OR experience.
Details
- Works in the Operating Room (OR) department of a hospital setting
- Oversees a 24-hour OR department in coordination with the Surgical Services leadership team and hospital nursing supervisor
- Surgical specialties include robotics, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, GYN, neurosurgery, ERCP, and vascular procedures
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OR RN license in the State of Oregon required
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CNOR
- Minimum 5 years of OR or ambulatory surgery center experience required
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties including robotics, ortho, urology, general surgery, GYN, neuro, ERCP, and vascular required
- Previous nurse manager experience preferred
- ION robot experience preferred
- International candidates are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsible for operational and fiscal management of the OR, including assisting with budget development
- Supervises a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, Scrub Technologists, Perioperative Aides, CNAs, and unit clerks
- Accountable for ensuring safe intraoperative patient care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to accreditation standards
- Leads performance improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, and evidence-based practice integration
- Responsibilities include personnel evaluation, selection interviews, policy and procedure development, and equipment oversight
- Serves as a patient advocate while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
- Participation in required DNV program education applicable to the position
