Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience.

Details

  • Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
  • Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
  • 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
  • Floating required between units and across all facilities within the state
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • 13-week contract
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Licensed nursing personnel (RN/LVN) are required to wear solid navy blue scrubs; print tops are not acceptable
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
  • Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
