Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency for a multi-site assignment including OR, Endoscopy, and outpatient IR workflows in Oregon.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit in an academic medical center setting
• Assignment spans three work sites: South Waterfront/CHH2, the OR, and the Endoscopy Unit at the main hospital campus
• Patient workflows include OR procedures, Endoscopy procedures, inpatient, day patient, and outpatient cases
• Equipment includes fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography (DSA), ultrasonography, and cone beam CT
• Uses Epic for charting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Overnight on-call required: 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM, approximately 1–2 nights per week
• Weekend on-call required: 24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday, approximately once per month
• Candidates may be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
• Active Oregon state license required (if applicable)
• Epic charting experience required
• COVID vaccination documentation required — no exemptions
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months are required; charge nurse references are not acceptable
• Ability to work independently on-call with department physicians and nurses

Additional Information

• Assist physicians during procedures by operating fluoroscopy, DSA, ultrasonography, and cone beam CT imaging equipment
• Prepare patients and supplies under sterile conditions; scrub in with the physician and assist during procedures as needed
• Operate automatic injectors and select appropriate contrast agents under physician direction
• Provide patient care during examinations in collaboration with other staff members
• Former facility employees or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the supervising manager at the facility
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and may not exceed 2 weeks
