Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ICU position at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Oklahoma, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of two prior travel assignments.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Patient ratios of 1:2, with occasional 1:3
• ICU unit within an acute care hospital (171 staffed beds)
• Common diagnoses and procedures include CRRT, cardiac surgery/CABG with hemodynamic monitoring, respiratory failure with vent management, DKA, altered mental status, and management of multiple drips
• Special procedures include central line setup and management, arterial line (ART line), and CVP monitoring
• Charting via Epic — experience is required
• Floating may be required to Med-Surg (1:5 ratio) or the ER based on census needs
• 3 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling and special scheduling requests are not accommodated

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Recent Epic experience is required — must be documented on your profile for each prior assignment
• Basic dysrhythmia training/experience required
• Minimum of two prior completed travel assignments required with no performance or attendance issues — first-time travelers will not be considered
• No background hits are allowed

Additional Information

• Level 3 Trauma Center in an acute care hospital setting
• Facility enforces a zero-fault attendance policy — any missed scheduled shift, regardless of reason, counts as unexcused; 2 missed shifts result in a warning and 3 may result in cancellation
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO is permitted
• No additional RTO requests will be considered after the time of profile submission or while on contract
• All pre-employment modules must be completed before the start date
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Scrub color varies by unit
