Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry position in California, requiring a valid CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of PCU and telemetry experience.

Details

  • Progressive Telemetry Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • PCU and telemetry patient population
  • Cerner EMR used; experience required
  • No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • PCU experience required
  • Telemetry experience required, including at least 1 year of full-time equivalent specialty experience within the past 2 years
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Must pass a PASS/FAIL EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
  • At least 1 supervisory, director, or manager reference from within the past year on the relevant unit required; a second reference within the past 2 years (charge nurse, co-worker, or educator accepted)
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveling candidates
  • No RTO (time off requests) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and cannot be changed once submitted
  • Candidates who have previously been employed by the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler, and prior employment must be disclosed at time of consideration
