Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• Full-time position in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Postpartum experience required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• COVID vaccination required

Additional Information

• Coordinates and delivers quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Delegates, supervises, and documents patient care and patient/family education
• Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in resolving variances from patient goals
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• No blocked scheduling
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to the start date, typically one week before
• RTO requests submitted after an offer is accepted will be reviewed by the manager once the assignment begins
