Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a surgical unit position requiring Epic EMR experience and an IL RN license.

Details

Surgical/OR unit in a hospital setting
Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 10-hour shifts (4 days/week)
Rotating call required in addition to standard schedule
40 hours per week

Requirements

Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred
English fluency required (speak, read, write)

Additional Information

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
Travelers who have been on assignment at any Carle Health location for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning
Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, developing and modifying care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation
Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and integration of patient care
