Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring prior travel experience and Level 1 trauma OR background.
Details
- Operating Room in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Handles complex, high-volume trauma cases with diverse and severe presentations
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- On-call responsibilities are required
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Holiday coverage required
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma OR experience required
- Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments with high case volume and acuity
- Strong OR skills checklist rating required
- Experience in small or low-volume hospital settings is not sufficient for this role

- Burn experience is preferred
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Block scheduling requests will not be approved
