Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring open heart recovery skills and a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience.

Details

• 17-bed ICU/CSICU unit within a hospital setting on a Magnet Journey
• Cardiovascular patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
• Patients include those who have undergone CABG, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, heart valve replacement or repair, and other vascular interventions
• Specialized equipment in use includes intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), ECMO, induced hypothermia systems, and the Impella Heart Pump
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Active Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing required
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CVICU or related ICU experience required
• Open heart recovery experience required
• Current BLS required; ACLS required within first 6 months
• CRRT experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

• Care for patients undergoing both interventional and non-interventional cardiovascular procedures, general surgery, and advanced therapies

• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are not accepted
