Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Birth Center) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience, including LDRP, with night shift availability.

Details

• Work in a Birth Center with 20 total beds: 12 L&D, 8 postpartum/antepartum (including 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 OR), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
• Patient population includes laboring patients, antepartum, postpartum mothers, and newborns, with a notable Russian and Spanish-speaking community (multilingual skills preferred)
• Performs cervical exams, amnio infusions, Pitocin administration, epidural support, IV placement, fetal monitoring, C-section circulation, APGAR scoring, and postpartum care from transition through discharge for mother and baby
• EMR: Epic
• 13-week contract with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of total L&D experience, with at least 1 year in an LDRP setting
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• Must be proficient in circulating C-sections and baby catching/receiving
• Strong postpartum care experience required, including full transition to discharge for mother and baby
• Scrub experience preferred
• At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, or Director) required for consideration, with a second required prior to start

• Provides comprehensive LDRP care including antepartum monitoring, labor support, C-section circulation, newborn receiving, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding education
• NP is available on call for support
• Teal scrubs are provided by the facility
