Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level III trauma facility in Athens, TN, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active TN or Compact RN license.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit within an acute care hospital setting serving adult and geriatric patients (no pediatrics)
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical recovery, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with a current max census of 18 beds
• Equipment includes bladder scanners and glucometers
• EMR: Medhost
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No call or float requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN or Compact) required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

Additional Information

• All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Critical care thinking skills are preferred
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Orientation is held bi-weekly on Mondays
• This is a Level III trauma facility
• The facility is part of a 2-campus health system serving both acute and long-term care needs
