Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding.
Details
- Hospital Med/Surg Tele unit with a primarily medical-surgical patient population
- Patient population includes observation, respiratory, general med/surg, palliative, end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetic, and surgical patients
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating across facilities may be required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding — two attempts are allowed; candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- The unit is posted as MS/Tele due to the EKG requirement, but the primary patient population is medical-surgical
- Previous Charge RN experience is preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
