Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with a 26-week commitment on night shifts.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Primarily medical/surgical patient population on a telemetry-capable unit
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Holiday rotation required
- Charge RN shifts required as needed
- Float required across all health system facilities as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Procedures include blood product administration, peripheral line care management, IV starts, heparin, insulin, PCA management, nasal cannula use, and isolation precautions
- Rapid Response team utilization is part of standard care delivery
Requirements
- Active NC RN license or a valid Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- 26-week contract length required — 13-week contracts are not available for this position
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
