Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring Trauma Level II experience and ACLS certification, working day shifts at a hospital in Columbus, GA.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes adults through geriatrics
• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• Caseload of 2 rooms
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• On-call structure: 4-person call team, 2 teams, rotating every other weekend
• EMR: Epic; Pyxis and SBAR also utilized

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO maximum of 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted day shift schedule is firm
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
