Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN Circulator Educator for a 13-week travel contract, requiring a minimum of 5 years of hospital nursing experience, 3 years of OR experience, and active CNOR certification.

Details

  • Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • Hospital surgical/OR setting
  • Role is embedded within the Clinical Education Department
  • Focus is on clinical staff education and training programs related to OR circulator practice

Requirements

  • Active Oregon RN license required
  • OR RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS (HCP), ACLS, PALS, and CNOR
  • Minimum of 5 years of hospital nursing experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of OR experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; MSN strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar, punctuation, and proofreading
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM accurately

Additional Information

  • Serves as an educational resource for clinical staff, introducing technical and theoretical concepts using a variety of teaching techniques
  • Supports development of education programs in collaboration with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators
  • Works closely with the Quality Management team to identify educational opportunities and promote continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in simulation training using mannequins and simulation software is expected or will be developed in the role
  • Experience developing and delivering courses, working with teaching theories and learning models, and using simulation technology is preferred
  • Experience as a clinical staff educator is preferred
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is helpful
  • International candidates are not eligible for this position
