Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma facility in Boston, MA, requiring strong OR scrub and circulator experience across multiple surgical specialties including transplants.
Details
- Hospital OR setting within a 10-room operating suite focused on inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery
- Surgical specialties include bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplant
- Day shift, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), 40 hrs/week
- Up to 2 weekends per month required, either on-call (7A–7P or 7P–7A on Sat/Sun/holidays) or working shifts
- Short call shift once per week (3:00 AM–7:00 AM or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM)
- 30-minute on-call response time required
- Primarily based on the West Main campus with potential float to East campus or CVI OR
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Scrub experience highly preferred; circulator experience required
- Demonstrated experience in multiple OR specialties: general surgery, robotics, transplant (kidney required; liver transplant preferred), ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma
- COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions allowed)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Candidates must provide interview availability and all RTO requests at time of consideration
- Orientation takes place weekly, every Monday (excluding holidays)
- All previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month separation from any BILH facility before being considered
- Holiday coverage is required for any holidays that fall during the contract period
- Parking in the Boston area can cost up to $43/day
