Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for an Open Heart OR position requiring 3+ years of experience, scrub proficiency for open CVOR cases, and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based CVOR unit located within the main hospital
• Patient population includes adult open heart surgery cases: CABG, and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic)
• TAVR procedures also performed in the main OR
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:30
• On-call requirement of 32 hours per month
• May float to the main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled during a shift
• Charts using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR RN experience required
• Scrub experience required for open CVOR cases
• Circulator experience and TAVR experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of Impella and HeartMate devices required
• Experience with ECMO and laser lead extractions required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Travel experience is highly preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates are accepted
• Any schedule or time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
