Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience, including neurovascular and vascular IR, at a short-term acute care hospital.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a 449-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Daily caseload of 10–15 cases per tech
- Vascular IR scope includes endografts, neurovascular, trauma, and body IR
- Facility is a stroke thrombectomy center
- Charting performed in Cerner
- 5x8 day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (shift adjusts to 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM on call days)
- On-call requirement of 1 day per week, plus every third or fourth weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- Weekends required only during on-call rotation
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No floating requirement
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IR Tech experience required
- Neurovascular IR experience required
- Must be proficient in scrubbing cases and familiar with guidewires
- Experience with GE and Siemens fluoroscopy rooms required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid state license required if applicable
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Perform vascular IR procedures including endografts, neurovascular interventions, trauma cases, body IR, and stroke thrombectomy
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- A pending state license is accepted, but must be active by the assignment start date
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
