Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong scrub and circulate skills and expertise in at least two of four key surgical specialties for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room with 17 rooms and approximately 45 cases
• Surgical specialties include (in priority order): Neuro/Neuro Spine, Ortho/Ortho Spine, Vascular, Robotics, Urology, Podiatry, Oncology GYN, and General/ENT/Plastics
• Candidates must have strong experience in at least 2 of the top 4 specialties: Neuro Spine, Ortho Spine, Vascular, or Robotics
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Epic EMR in use; Pyxis also utilized
• 13-week contracts accepted, with the possibility of extension beyond 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, acute OR experience required (candidates out of the acute OR setting for more than 6 months will not be considered)
• Must be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating
• Strong experience in at least 2 of the following specialties: Neuro Spine, Ortho Spine, Vascular, or Robotics
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Candidates who have been most recently in a management role will not be considered
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• State Board of Nursing License Verification and NURSYS Verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided (ceil blue)
• Orientation includes a minimum of 36 hours (3 days), not including Epic training
• No RTO is permitted after booking; any call-offs or additional time off may result in contract cancellation
• Local candidates are accepted
• An interview with the hiring manager is required before any offer will be extended
• Candidates may indicate interest in a contract longer than 13 weeks
