Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position covering multiple pediatric units, requiring PICU and NICU experience with night shift availability.

Details

• This is a Pediatric Float Pool (SRO) position rotating across multiple pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
• 36 or 48 hours available per week
• 13-week contract
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; certification has an associated cost of $185)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; candidates with NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
• Comfort with the full pediatric patient population required
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float assignments are made in accordance with each candidate's clinical experience and skill set
• Candidates must adhere to the facility's float pool policy
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
