Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position covering multiple pediatric units, requiring PICU and NICU experience with night shift availability.
Details
- This is a Pediatric Float Pool (SRO) position rotating across multiple pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
- 36 or 48 hours available per week
- 13-week contract
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; certification has an associated cost of $185)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required; candidates with NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
- Comfort with the full pediatric patient population required
- Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Float assignments are made in accordance with each candidate's clinical experience and skill set
- Candidates must adhere to the facility's float pool policy
- Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
- No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
