Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience, with night shifts and floating across multiple pediatric units.
Details
- Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Pediatric patient population spanning critical care, surgical recovery, and newborn/postpartum care
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (4x12-hour shifts)
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- EMR: Epic experience required
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required; VA license pending will be accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending); candidate is responsible for the associated cost
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required
- Peds PACU experience highly preferred
- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- This is a Pediatric SRO Float Pool position; candidates must be comfortable floating to all listed pediatric units and must adhere to the facility's float policy
- Candidates must be comfortable with a broad pediatric patient population across acuity levels
- Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
- No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
