Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience with Epic proficiency and night shift availability.

Details

  • This is a float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
  • Night shift, 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week; 36 or 48 hours available
  • 13-week contract
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every other holiday required
  • EMR: Epic experience required

Requirements

  • Active VA or Compact RN license required; VA license pending will be accepted
  • Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
  • Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; note this certification has an out-of-pocket cost)
  • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
  • NICU experience required
  • Comfort and proficiency across a broad pediatric patient population required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Peds PACU experience highly preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidates with previous NICU/PICU float pool experience are strongly preferred
  • Float assignments will align with each candidate's clinical experience and competencies
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
