Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 academic medical center in St. Louis, MO, with on-call requirements and a wide range of advanced cardiac procedures.

Details

Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 356-bed non-profit, Level 1 research and academic medical center in St. Louis, MO
Tertiary care facility affiliated with Saint Louis University School of Medicine and part of the SSM Health System
Average daily census of 15–18 cases
Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (10:30–19:00)
On-call required: 1 weekend per month and 3–4 days per month total
Procedures include TAVR, right and left heart catheterization, Impella insertion, ECMO, IABP, TEE, cardioversion, EP ablations, pacemaker and ICD implants, Watchman, MitraClip, coronary angiography, ECHO, and lead extractions/reimplantation
Charting performed in Epic
Scrubs provided by the facility
Free onsite parking available

Requirements

Active MO RN license or compact RN license; pending licenses are accepted
Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
Preferred certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and TNCC
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
Circulating and scrub experience required
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application; any RTO requests made after submission are subject to manager approval
Position is based at a Level 1 trauma and academic teaching center providing tertiary care for the east Missouri region
