Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and active KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a Critical Access Hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis by manager
• Patient care includes high-risk and vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum-assisted deliveries, C-sections, neonatal and newborn care, postpartum care, pain management, and surgical cases such as cervical cerclage
• Clinical skills include sterile speculum exams, non-stress testing (NST), reflex checks, sterile vaginal exams, external fetal monitoring (EFM), IV placement, and medication administration
• EMR: Centricity (preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate should be prepared to integrate quickly, as the facility needs someone who can step in after the second shift with minimal ramp-up time
