Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with outpatient experience for a 13-week contract in an outpatient PT setting.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac diagnoses, including post-op orthopedic aftercare and generalized weakness
• Orthopedic cases include cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical and shoulder surgery, post-op spinal surgery, spinal conditions, total hip replacement, and total knee replacement
• Neurological cases include cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient PT experience required
• Current state PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency in patient assessment and body mechanics
• Experience with orthopedic and neurological patient populations required
• Skills in home exercise program development and patient/family education required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
