Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based SICU with an oncology focus
• Adult patient population with diagnoses including hemorrhagic and hypovolemic shock, sepsis, septic shock, pneumonia, ARDS, craniotomy, ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, intracranial hypertension, and delirium
• Specialized procedures include external ventricular drain (EVD) management, ICP monitoring, massive transfusion protocol (MTP), mechanical ventilation, heated high flow, BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy management, CRRT, and vasopressor titration
• Shift is nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• May also be scheduled for a rotating day/night contract depending on departmental needs, with shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Travelers changing representation do not require a 30-day break between assignments at this facility
