Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience in a similarly sized facility and a background in high-acuity, high-volume cardiac care environments.
Details
- 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Cardiac patient population including STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiothoracic surgery (CTS), and chest pain (C/P) cases
- Experience with cardiac drips required, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
- Patient ratio of 1:3–4
- May be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity patients
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact state license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU or IMCU experience in a similarly sized facility
- Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital environment required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume facilities will not be considered
- Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced cardiac and trauma cases
