Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position in San Antonio, TX, requiring at least 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

General Surgery OR unit serving ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, and robotics patient populations
4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
13-week contract
Epic EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required
BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience
All certifications must be current and unexpired
US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
BSN preferred
