Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (L&D) night shift position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and at least one prior completed travel assignment in L&D.

Details

• 13-week contract in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 13 beds
• Night shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• On-call required: 2 x 12-hour call shifts per every 6 weeks, with at least one being a weekend shift
• Patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 depending on census
• EMR: CPN (GE) and Cerner — Cerner experience preferred
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• At least 1 previously completed travel assignment in L&D required
• Must be able to pass an EKG
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring and assisting laboring patients, communicating with providers, circulating in the OR for C-sections, and triaging patients at 20 weeks gestation and beyond
• Provides care across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
• CPN (GE) experience preferred
• Scrub color: navy blue
• Block scheduling may be accommodated provided the weekend shift requirement is met
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• First-time travelers are not eligible — at least one prior completed L&D travel assignment is required
