Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position at a pediatric facility in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• NICU unit within a large pediatric hospital setting
• Cares for a BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) NICU population with an average patient length of stay of 2–3 years
• Heavy parent involvement and frequent trach care are central to daily practice
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Floating required to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, med/surg, and rarely the ED
• Floating to other campuses is also required, primarily including Riverside and St. Ann's locations

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of combined Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Comfort with frequent trach care and high levels of family/parent engagement
• Two supervisor or manager-level references required for consideration (charge nurse references are not accepted)

Additional Information

• Two-part interview process: an initial screening with the Float Pool Leader within 24–48 hours, followed by a potential second interview with the NICU unit manager
• RTO requests are reviewed as part of the interview process
• Local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked permanently at this facility must have a gap of at least 2 years before being considered
• Attendance and punctuality are strictly enforced at this facility
