Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with acute and trauma experience for a full-time adult rehabilitation services contract position.

Details

• Adult Rehab Services unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 40 hours/week
• 13-week contract
• Acute care experience required
• Trauma experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Acute care and trauma experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current PT license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include interpreting physician orders, evaluating patients, and formulating individualized treatment plans with short- and long-term goals
• Monitors and adjusts treatment plans based on patient response and progress
• Participates in discharge planning and instructs patients on home exercise programs
• Documents treatment results and patient responses in the medical record
• May supervise and assist PT students during clinical rotations depending on experience level
• Compliance onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance
• Previous travelers or employees who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new contract; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks
