Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN with trach/vent experience for a 13-week travel contract requiring alternating day/night shifts and every other weekend availability.
Details
- Inpatient pediatrics unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, and pediatric patients with diagnoses such as prematurity, apnea of prematurity (AOP), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), bronchopulmonary/chronic lung disease (BLD/CLD), cardiac defects, feeding issues, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
- Patient ratio is 1:3, up to 1:4 with lower acuity patients
- Specialized equipment includes tracheostomy/ventilators, PICCs/central lines, and TPN/IL
- Alternating day and night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule (days: 7:00–19:00; nights: 19:30–7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within the specialty and sister units as needed
- No on-call required
Requirements
- Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a compact license currently in hand
- Current BLS and CPI certifications required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required
- Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management required
- Experience with PICCs, central lines, and TPN/IL required

- Holiday coverage required as holidays fall within the schedule
- Any color or print scrubs are acceptable
