Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) position in Madison, WI, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency, working night shifts at a free-standing acute rehab hospital.
Details
- Free-standing, 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) in Madison, WI
- Inpatient rehab unit serving adults with high-acuity needs including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating is not currently required but may include a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the near future
- Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machine, BGM, and computers for charting
- EMR: Epic (minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience required)
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehab experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- The unit can reach high acuity at times and functions similarly to a Med-Surg unit; all nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights for patient safety
- The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- Local candidates are not accepted
