Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification for a General Ultrasound position in an OB/GYN outpatient clinic setting.

Details

• Outpatient OB/GYN clinic setting performing level 1 OB and GYN scans
• High-risk OB and outpatient general ultrasound work setting
• General ultrasound procedures include abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and spleen
• OB/GYN procedures include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scans, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and placenta previa
• Neonatal imaging includes bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, head, and heart
• Renal/pelvis procedures include bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal/bladder, uterus, and vaginal studies
• Small parts procedures include breast cyst aspiration, breast ultrasound, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
• GE ultrasound equipment required
• Epic EMR used on unit
• Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM with a 45-minute meal break
• No call or weekend requirements
• Float requirement is in effect per facility policy
• Schedule is based on clinic needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience required
• ARDMS and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications required
• Current BLS required
• Must be a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS)
• Proficiency with GE ultrasound equipment required
• Experience with high-risk OB and outpatient general ultrasound settings required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• ARDMS FE and NT (Nuchal Translucency) certifications are preferred; Nuchal Translucency screening experience is a plus
• Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and could be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
• Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur, with possible reassignment to other units as needed
• RTO (time off) requests after booking are not permitted and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional RTO on unit may result in contract cancellation
• Scrubs are not provided; any color is acceptable
• An interview with the hiring manager is required before an offer will be extended
