Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring night shift availability, a 1:7 patient ratio, and a 100-mile radius rule from the facility.

Details

• Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility's service area; local candidates are not accepted
• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Travel nurses are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
